(September 20, 2014, 7:00 pm) WALLA WALLA, Wash. With the win, Willamette improves to 4-3 overall and 1-0 in Northwest Conference games.

After tying a 32-year-old single-game record for goals, Willamette University went just over 117 minutes without scoring a goal before coming through with the game-winner near the end of the second overtime in a 1-0 victory over Whitman College (Wash.) Saturday at the Whitman Athletic Fields.

Pioneers Blank Bearcats in NWC Opener, 2-0
(September 18, 2014, 4:00 am) PORTLAND, Ore. Willamette will return to action on Saturday, Sept. 20, against Whitman College (Wash.).

In the Northwest Conference opener Wednesday at Griswold Stadium, Willamette University could not overcome a pair of second half goals by Lewis & Clark College falling by the final score of 2-0.

Yazan Hishmeh (Jr., F, Ventura, CA/Saint Bonaventure HS) of Willamette University has been selected as the Northwest Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending on Sept. 14.

(September 14, 2014, 5:30 am) SALEM, Ore. A single-game record set in 1982 against Linfield was tied 32 years later by the 2014 Bearcats behind a season-high 37 shots that included 18 on-goal.

In a non-conference contest Saturday at Sparks Field, Willamette University tied the program's single-game record for goals in an 11-0 victory over Multnomah University (Ore.).


Goalkeeper Julian Juarez registered a season-high six saves in the Bearcats' game against Carthage.
Bearcats Earn Forfeit Victory Over Carthage
(September 12, 2014, 12:02 am) SALEM, Ore. Originally, the Bearcats were defeated by Carthage, 2-0, but Wednesday's decision reversed the final outcome giving Willamette a 1-0 victory.

Following a decision by the NCAA, Willamette University was awarded a victory via forfeit over Carthage College (Wisc.) due to the Red Men using an ineligible player in its first two contests of the season.

Bearcats Get First Win of the Season
(September 7, 2014, 9:51 pm) OLYMPIA, Wash. Willamette returns to the pitch on Friday, September 12th, for their home opener against the University of California-Santa Cruz.

After scoring in just the second minute of the contest and putting in the game-winner in the 53rd minute, Willamette University earned their first win of the season, defeating The Evergreen State College, 2-1.

Willamette Falls to Warner Pacific, 1-0
(September 7, 2014, 6:30 am) SALEM, Ore. Willamette will return to action on Friday, Sept. 12, against Northwest Christian University.

Despite holding a 12-4 advantage in total shots, Willamette University could not overcome a goal 14 seconds into the second half falling to Warner Pacific College, 1-0, Saturday night at Sparks Field.

(September 4, 2014, 5:00 pm) SALEM, Ore. To date, more than $110,000 has been raised from Bearcat women's soccer alumni, parents and supporters to make the project possible.

The Willamette University women's soccer team moved into their locker room on Wednesday, becoming the first athletic squad to take over space following Phase 2 of the Sparks Center renovation.

California Lutheran University Nips Lady Bearcats
(August 31, 2014, 6:02 pm) THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. The game's only goal was netted by Bianca Deardorff of CLU at 60:32 following a corner kick.

California Lutheran University scored just over 15 minutes into the second half, and the Regals held on a 1-0 victory over Willamette University at the Best Western Inn Thousand Oaks Classic on Sunday.
